Lonesome Dove Equestrian Center

Lonesome Dove Equestrian Center (LDEC) provides therapeutic horseback riding exclusively for veterans with special
needs and disabilities. Primarily focused on veterans in Richmond, Virginia, and the surrounding area, this unique program will improve the quality of life for the participants through activities that are positive to their cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Our program is unique in that it is provided to the veterans at absolutely no cost to them, in the belief that they have already paid by their service to our country, or their families. It receives no public funds and depends completely on private donations and fundraising efforts.
