Bluegrass vocalist and fiddler Rhonda Vincent dubbed, The New Queen of Bluegrass, began her professional music career at the age of five, playing drums with her family's band, the Sally Mountain Show. In her mid-twenties, Vincent struck out on her own, and since then Rhonda Vincent and the Rage have been gaining popularity at bluegrass festivals since their formation, playing hard-driving, high-energy contemporary bluegrass music. The International Buegrass Music Association accorded her its Female Vocalist of the Year Award for the years 2000-2006. She is now promoting Destination Life, which presents the bluegrass queen and her court, at the top of their game; and the greatest edition of The Rage formed to date. Destination Life is a new classic for traditional bluegrass lovers anywhere: her mandolin style tingles through several tunes, defining a distinct player, who can show her stuff, or support her band mates to build the foundation for one of the most popular groups of today s generation of bluegrass music.

Since its inception in 1971, The Seldom Scene has thrived on playing bluegrass a little differently than everyone else. If other bands used a fiddler, the Seldom Scene used a Dobro; if others relied on old standards, the Seldom Scene played rock classics like J.J. Cale's After Midnight. Through skilled musicianship and an urban approach to bluegrass, the Seldom Scene has become one of the most influential -- if not the most influential -- bluegrass band of their time.

"We try to find material that's a little bit different, and approach the music in a little bit broader way than most bluegrass bands do," said the Seldom Scene's Dudley Connell to the Baltimore Sun in 1998.
